Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos and UNDP Administrator Helen Clark have ended a two day mission in Niger.
The mission is meant to draw attention to a worsening food crisis in the country and the wider Sahel region of West Africa, where millions of people are in need of assistance due to poor harvests and recurring drought.
