Interview. Antonin Tisseron: “Libya, the new sanctuary for terrorism in the Sahel”

Following Operation Serval in Mali and in the absence of any control over Libyan territory by Tripoli, Libya has become the new sanctuary for terrorists in the Sahel. This is the opinion of numerous experts in the region, including Antonin Tisseron, a research fellow at the Thomas More Institute in Paris. In an interview with and African media, this specialist in security issues and the fight against terrorism in the Maghreb and Sahel mentioned the “lack of coordination” between the two regions and particularly the ambiguous role of Algeria in the Sahel crisis.
