Kenya: on the road to referendum

While Attorney-General Amos Wako published the proposed constitution last Thursday, parties are now meeting to set the agenda for the referendum campaign. As the following video of NTV Kenya highlights, President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are meeting today leaders of parties with MPs in Parliament in an attempt to rally them behind the ‘Yes’ campaign.

Kenya: Final version of draft law presented

Nairobi — Kenya inched closer to a referendum on a new constitution when the Committee of Experts presented the final version to the Parliamentary Select Committee. The experts reversed some of the decisions arrived at by the MPs team that reviewed the draft law in Naivasha last month.
