While Attorney-General Amos Wako published the proposed constitution last Thursday, parties are now meeting to set the agenda for the referendum campaign. As the following video of NTV Kenya highlights, President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are meeting today leaders of parties with MPs in Parliament in an attempt to rally them behind the ‘Yes’ campaign.
Kenya’s parliament has unanimously passed a draft constitution, but it has taken close to two decades for Kenya to finally inch close to this dream. NTVs Robert Nagila takes a look at the timeline of the long journey to the present.

Nairobi — Kenya inched closer to a referendum on a new constitution when the Committee of Experts presented the final version to the Parliamentary Select Committee. The experts reversed some of the decisions arrived at by the MPs team that reviewed the draft law in Naivasha last month.
Nairobi — Representatives of disabled people have asked the Committee of Experts and the House to give them at least 20 seats in the next Parliament. This the number would comprise 15 seats in the National Assembly through mixed representation and five seats in the Senate. The group also wants at least one representative in all constitutional commissions.
