Humanitarian Summit, The Big Fiasco

ISTANBUL – The World Humanitarian Summit held in Istanbul on May 23-24, failed to achieve its fund raising goals. With the exception of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, none from the Group of the richest courtiers or of the UN Security Council attended. And the Summit could not mobilise the much-needed resources it had hoped for.

VITA and ITM Antwerp ride radio waves against Ebola in Guinea

The network of independent radios of Guinea URTELGUI and the Italian media content company VITA will work as of Monday (26 January 2015) with the Antwerp Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) on an Ebola sensibilisation and awareness-raising action across radio stations in Guinea, one of the three worst affected countries by the current Ebola epidemic. The action is funded by the European Union.
