Burkina Faso leads on poverty, education development goals

As the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) draw to a close in 2015, African countries show varied performance against the globally adopted development targets.

According to data accessed through Analyse Africa, eight of the top 10 countries who made the greatest progress towards the first two goals – eradicating extreme poverty and hunger, and achieving universal education – can be found in Africa, with the west African country of Burkina Faso leading the way.
