“While Europe does have problems, they often pale in comparison to those that people in poorer and developing countries face”, said the Luxembourgish Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, in an interview released to Afronline at the European Development Days (EDD15). Bettel goes on to describe the dangers of ecological dumping, how Europe must provide hope to people fleeing their countries and that although many say they will help the developing world, often leaders “forgot the promises they have made internationally” for budget reasons.
