Kenya: don’t panic, mobile phones good for kids after all

Mama Jane is a 70-year-old grandmother and she knows the internet, yet she does not use it. She knows it since she is constantly fighting with her youngest daughter, who is always ‘facebooking’ on her mobile phone. The use of mobile phones to access the internet is a phenomenon in Kenya today and it seems like it will not end soon. The findings of a research released in November by the Kenya Information and Communications Technology Board shows that many of the young people who access the internet do so using the mobile phone.
